After many alterations, some by choice and some by necesity, to the initial plan, the route has finally settled on that shown below.  

There is a distinct lack of detail, even at this stage, but this is deliberate as we want to keep massive amounts of freedom in our plans.  We have a very rough itinerary to ensure that we don't get behind but by no means do we have to stick to this religiously.

Until only a couple of weeks before the due departure the plan was to travel from Iran into India and Nepal before shipping from Calcutta to Perth, the current political situation in Pakistan has unfortunately meant that the area we need to get through is no longer safe.  As a result we are now hopping over the Gulf to the Arabian Perninsula where we will get to due a bit of dune bashing in the Land Rover!
